Gas 2 Feed receives a public funding of NOK 23 million
13 October 2022
Gas 2 Feed takes the step forward for sustainable feed in Norway. We are proud to have received NOK 23 million from a recent public award to develop feed solutions with a low carbon footprint. The aim is to reduce dependence on imported soy and rather promote the use of innovative, short-traveled raw materials.
We are pleased to announce that Gas 2 Feed was today awarded NOK 23 million to support our development of sustainable protein production based on CO2.
The grant will directly support our next phase of development, through the employment of more staff and investment in key technology and equipment.
The background for this grant from the Research Council is the Norwegian government's focus on reducing the carbon footprint of feed ingredients, which is currently dominated by imported soy proteins.
Through 2022 and 2023, we will further develop and optimize our technology. Together with EcoFishCircle, our goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of the aquaculture industry.
