The facility
The Risavika project is a development and scale-up project located in Nord-Jæren (Sola municipality) and will produce protein for salmon feed in an environmentally friendly way. Using biotechnology, G2F, in collaboration with its sister company EcoFishCircle AS, will produce biomass from recycled carbon, which can replace approx. 30 % of the protein in the fish feed.
The purpose of the pilot plant is to optimize and scale production parameters, in addition to the further development of process procedures and control systems.
Progress
The scale-up in phase 2 allows us to carry out systematic trials with protein and salmon production on a full commercial scale from Q1 2024.
